mad for some holiday plaid!
button downs are one of my favorite wardrobe pieces because they go with everything. you can wear them with shorts, jeans, and skirts! and when it gets colder you can use it as a base layering piece under (itchy) sweaters too. this is my first holiday-ish plaid button down and the place to get them is.... J.Crew. they do such a good job with their button downs, esp when the fall rolls around. i decided to dress this one up a little with my most worn midi skirt. to make things more festive i put on my gift bow studs! these are basically a dupe of the Kate Spade ones that were all the rage a few years ago. these are very seasonal so i wear them every chance i get! these gift bow earrings really topped this outfit. #sorryihadto #nopunintended #deskslapper
let's talk about these bow heels. yes, you need them too. it's not often i come across a good pointed toe bow heel that is doesn't cost big buckaroos. i actually ordered the blush and black and was supposed to keep only one... but i ended up keeping both because they are just too pretty. #birthdaymonth, oh wait. i bought them in november... ackahah! ok, but i did wear these to an event and my other heel somehow slid past the bow on my other foot and the bow ripped off -- nothing some super glue can't fix, but be careful with them. this happened right before an event where i was going to meet THE Kelly Wynne! #justmyluck good thing i am the type of working woman who always has three pairs of shoes on her at all times, one of them being flats!
